The Cascade Café @ Palm Springs Aerial Tramway

Emulating the original Palm Springs Aerial Tramway mid-century architecture of Albert Frey & Robson C. Chambers, the architectural design of this new café addition/interior renovation began with a mapping of the mountain peaks visible to the West.

This locally unique topography was used to develop a folded plane roof and wall system which is intended to relate to these unique views, protect against direct sunlight and to extend the architectural language of this landmark building.
